What It's Like To Work At ZOLL Data Systems
Darwinism - The fittest survive. At ZOLL Data Systems, your performance is what matters, not the number of years you've been with the company. We love to give you opportunities to prove just how smart you are.
Opinions - There is nothing wrong with disagreeing with another employee, your manager, or even the President. Barge in and be heard - your views and expertise are why you're here. Be ready to support your views and be sure to suggest a superior alternative to get others to tune in. A dissenting opinion with no well-laid out argument for a better one is largely ignored.
Work smart - Work smart, not just hard - What's important is the results you produce, not the number of hours you work each day.
Long-term - We focus on the long-term and will make decisions based on it. Sometimes to do what's right in the long-term can require short-term sacrifices. The reverse is rarely acceptable.
Question things - We will often bring up ideas and ask others to "shoot holes" in our plan. We want you to question the status quo, and to challenge why things are done the way they are. This is how we are able to continue to improve going forward.
Have fun - We all spend too many hours at work to not have fun there. Take time out to enjoy candies and chocolates at the front desk, listen to CD's on the leather couch in the lunchroom, or take a shot at the dart board. If you're athletic, we have a shower for you to use here in the office after your bike ride or a blading run.
Autonomy - If you're the kind of person that takes ownership in your work, can identify problem areas and then recommend and implement solutions, you'll thrive in this entrepreneurial environment. The phrases "that's not my job" and "but it's 5:01" are not uttered here. Put on some Nike's and "just do it", whatever "it" is.
Attire - We have a casual dress code.
