The Dispatch tab in the ambulance cab
RescueNet NomadTM wireless EMS mobile data communication software in the ambulance means clear, secure dispatch information is instantly available to your crews. No more garbled radio messages, misunderstood addresses, or risk of the exposure of confidential information. Working on the Dispatch tab, your crews can:
- See all the important dispatch information, including time stamps.
- View any of the five most recent active, completed, or preassigned trips, labeled by run number and status.
- Advance a trip to the next status.
- Search for existing patients in the RescueNet DispatchTM database. If the correct patient is found, they can be added to the trip in both RescueNet NomadTM and RescueNet DispatchTM by the crew using RescueNet NomadTM.
- If necessary, select a destination or cancel a trip.
- Send an Advance of Arrival fax to the destination facility.
Interactive, in-vehicle mapping
The Mapping feature displays a detailed, interactive street map of your dispatch region.
- If a crew is en route to scene, transporting, or en route to post, the pick-up, destination, or post location is displayed.
- If your operation uses the optional RescueNet NomadTM GPS feature, the crew can view the current location of their vehicle; otherwise, their last known location is displayed.
- Supervisors can view a specific RescueNet NomadTM-equipped vehicle, all the RescueNet NomadTM-equipped vehicles they are responsible for, or all of your operation's currently active RescueNet NomadTM-equipped vehicles. Vehicles that aren't currently using an active RescueNet NomadTM unit are displayed at their last known location.
Wireless messaging
Crews can use the Message tab to send messages to the dispatch center, other units, or an email recipient.
- Messages can also be broadcast to all mobile units, as well as the dispatch center.
- Broadcast messages can be tagged with an expiration time, in which case they appear on the Info tab of all RescueNet NomadTM units until the expiration time.
- At the receiving end, a dialog box automatically opens displaying the message, and the message is also added to the list on the Message tab.
- For less important messages, the crews can use the Chat feature, which sends the message without opening a dialog box.
In-vehicle supervisor-level overview
Supervisors can view the status and location of vehicles and trips.
- By default, all of the vehicles the supervisor is responsible for are displayed.
- Optionally, they can view all active RescueNet NomadTM-equipped vehicles.
- The supervisor can look up details of the current and previous runs of any displayed vehicles. The details are displayed in a tab similar to the Dispatch tab.
- The supervisor can view a specific RescueNet NomadTM-equipped vehicle, all the RescueNet NomadTM-equipped vehicles they are responsible for, or all of your operation's currently active RescueNet NomadTM-equipped vehicles. Vehicles that aren't currently using an active RescueNet NomadTM unit are displayed at their last known location.
