Experienced leadership makes a difference
David Brown
President
David brings more than 15 years of (Emergency Medical Services) EMS management experience to ZOLL as one of the original founders of Pinpoint Technologies, Inc. in 1993. He was Director of Technology at Transcare Corporation, a New York-based EMS service for two years and has also served as Operations Manager for Automated Dispatch Services, an EMS dispatch company located in Miami, Florida, from 1990 to1994. David has a bachelor of science degree in mathematics and computer science from McGill University in Montreal, Canada. As a ski instructor in the past, David still enjoys hitting the slopes on a good powder day.
Kevin Tapply
Vice President of Sales
Kevin joined ZOLL in 2006 and before that was at InterAct Public Safety Systems. Prior to joining InterAct Public Safety Systems, he served as MCEI, Vice President of Sales for the Public Safety Solutions division of Motorola, Inc. From 1998 to 2003, Kevin was Vice President of Sales for the Mobile Government division of Aether Systems, Inc. and Chief Executive Officer of Cardinal Tracking, Inc. from 1991 to 1998. He has spent more than 15 years in the public safety industry, beginning as a police patrolman in New Hampshire. Kevin is a seasoned business development professional who has been directly responsible for the award of multi-million dollar contracts to some of the most prestigious public safety agencies. He graduated magna cum laude from Plymouth State College with an associates of science degree in business management. Kevin enjoys adventure motorcycling and racing homing pigeons in his spare time.
Jim Potter
Vice President of Marketing
Jim joined ZOLL in 2004 from Intrado, an emergency communications company, where he directed the product management activities for the Wireless Business Group. Prior to Intrado, he was the Managing Director for Ball Wireless Communications Products, a business unit of Ball Aerospace and Technologies. Before Ball, Jim was Vice President of Strategic Planning and Program Management for BI Incorporated, a software developer and system integrator of various technologies. He has a bachelor of science degree in engineering from Northern Arizona University and a masters of business administration degree from the University of Arizona. Jim enjoys working out at his health club and spending time with his three children.
Scott Martin
Vice President of Research and Development
Scott joined ZOLL as Vice President of Research and Development in 2004. Previously, he worked in management positions in the medical device development and manufacturing industry and the electronics and software industries. Scott was Vice President of Engineering at Datria Systems, Inc., a manufacturer of enterprise solutions for mobile workforce environments. He was also Vice President of Product Management and Engineering for SyVox Corporation. Scott holds patents on inventions in the technical field, received his bachelor of arts in applied mathematics from the Colorado School of Mines, and his master of science in biomedical engineering from Tulane University. Scott enjoys sailing in exotic locations around the world.
Scott Ford
Vice President of Operations
Scott joined ZOLL in 2006 and now serves as Vice President of Operations. Previously, he worked in management positions in the e-commerce and data storage industries. He served as Director of Technical Support Services at Avolent, Inc. a manufacturer of enterprise online bill presentment and payment solutions. During his time at Spectra Logic Corporation, where he held several management positions, Scott established a sales and support office in Tokyo, Japan. He earned a bachelor of arts degree in English from California State University, Long Beach and a masters of business administration degree from the University of Colorado, Denver. Scott enjoys skiing, mountain biking, and playing golf.
Anthony Barone
Vice President of Fire & Rescue Solutions
Tony joined ZOLL in 2007 from BIO-key International. He has more than 12 years of leadership experience and more than 17 years of hands-on experience developing and deploying commercial-grade software as well as marketing and sales leadership. Tony has been leading the fire and rescue division and is the chief architect of our RescueNet FireRMS product direction and strategy. He has managed the development and evolution of RescueNet FireRMS, which today is one of the leading record management and field data collection solutions for fire and rescue agencies across North America. Tony has significant experience in both the technical and business environment in various industries including healthcare, finance, and emergency services, specializing in work flow automation. He holds a bachelor of arts degree in Business Management from Bradford College and a B.A. in Aviation Science. Tony enjoys traveling and adventures with his family.
Mort Wegman-French
Controller
Mort is a certified public accountant and joined ZOLL in 2006. Prior to ZOLL Data Systems, he worked as an accounting and finance consultant for ZOLL Data Systems, Sirius Enterprise Systems Group, Accumedia, and Pumpco, Inc. Before working as a consultant, Mort served as the Vice President of Finance and Administration for Probita, Inc., was a systems analyst for the University of Colorado, started his own software company, and functioned as the Vice President/CFO for Satellite Information Systems Company. He has a bachelor of arts degree from the University of California at Davis and a masters of business administration from the Graduate School of Business Administration, University of Colorado. In his spare time, Mort enjoys getting into the mountains for backpacking, watching birds, and developing his cooking skills.
Cindy Koehler
Director of Human Resources
Cindy joined ZOLL in 2004 after spending five years as an executive search consultant and independent business consultant, specializing in high tech recruiting and human resources practices for growth-oriented technology companies. In the years prior, Cindy was one of the founding members of Applied Computer Technology, a Colorado-based systems integrator. She is currently a member of the CTEK Advisory Board Counsel and a member of Colorado Human Resources Association (CHRA). She has a bachelor of science degree in computer science from Colorado State University and is an Senior Professional in Human Resources (SPHR). In her spare time, Cindy can be found traveling, scuba diving, and skydiving.
