Larry Cole is a 30-year veteran of EMS, beginning his carrier in a small volunteer agency in his home county in rural West Virginia. He became a paramedic at 18 while attending West Virginia University and working for several private EMS agencies in West Virginia and Ohio. Larry settled with Kanawha County Emergency Ambulance Authority 28 years ago and has risen through the ranks of field paramedic to operations supervisor with long stents in both Communications and in Education where he taught multiple paramedic classes for West Virginia and Marshall Universities. Larry served previously as Director of Finance for 13 years for the organization. Currently, Larry serves as the Director of Communications and Transport Services for KCEAA. Additionally He is heavily involved in EMS legislative activities working with other West Virginia EMS agencies and legislators in the furtherance of EMS statewide.
