Ryan D. Thorne, NRP, Founder and CEO, Thorne Ambulance Service 
Mr. Thorne began his career at Quincy Medical Center in Quincy, Massachusetts (former Boston Medical Center affiliate) in 2005. Since that time, Ryan has worked as an EMT with Fallon Ambulance Service, the largest private ambulance service in New England, and as a Paramedic with Spartanburg EMS (a division of the Spartanburg Regional Hospital System). Presently, Mr. Thorne maintains State of South Carolina and National Registry certification at the Paramedic level, along with a number of specialized courses focusing on a wide variety of healthcare topics. Mr. Thorne is an American Safety Health Institute (ASHI) Basic Life Support (BLS), Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS), and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) Instructor. Mr. Thorne is also experienced in the fire service, having attained certification at the Fire Officer II and Firefighter II levels. In 2014, Mr. Thorne received the “Pride of the Battalion” award from the South Carolina Fire Academy. In 2017, Mr. Thorne was a recipient of the inaugural ZOLL EMS Pulse Award. Ryan is also a presenter and writer, presenting at the 2017 & 2018 South Carolina EMS Symposium, the 2017 EMS World Expo in Las Vegas, NV, and the 2019 ZOLL Summit in Denver, CO. Mr. Thorne attended Eastern Nazarene College in Quincy, MA with a focus on Finance & Accounting.
